Has anyone got any good fundraising ideas we could do over the next few months to raise some money. When we are out there we will have to pay for things like buses to games, food at games etc which hopefully we could pay for fully with money we raise.
Any got any grand ideas? I have had two ideas so far, sponsored shave magnums head and some sort of sindicate for the six nations or something along those lines.
Any other ideas?

One thing is to sell pin badges of the tour. It is something my rugby club back home does. You can sell them for a £1/£1.50 and that can surprisingly generate funds. Can get the contact of such a person if you would like to look into that.
Other idea's. For the infamous tour two years ago, there was talk that the union hire the place out for a minimal price, and the proceeds go to the tour. The cricket clubs aim is to think of a good idea which will get funds. In such an event you could sell willing cricket girls and boys, the chance to buy let see Frank Lampard for yourself is an obvious winner.
Will have a think of idea's

If we have the union thing then we could do an auction of a certain Pietersen poster from Burton's that i will hopefully get my hands on. Not certain if i can get it but will have a go.

A race night is always a good idea especially if we can get our hands on the union for the night we can open it up to the whole uni put some posters up and get in some donated prizes, its a fun night people put bets on have a drink and its at minimal cost for us. Also some form of sponsorship for tour shirts could generate some income, although i know sponsorship is like getting blood out of a stone. A uni wide quiz night (again use of the union) its been done before.
At our club back home we run what's known as the 100 club. Each member of the club pays a certain amount for a number between 1 and 100, each month 2 numbers are drawn and one wins a prize of say £20 and £10 (if each member paid £10). We could run it for the next 5 months, say 30 members of the club sign up then you would make £150. Obviously the numbers and costs are changeable but it could be a good idea.
Also a bonus ball idea is another possibility. Each person pays a pound a week for the next 5 months for one of the lottery numbers. If their number comes up as the bonus ball that saturday they win half the pot for that week. So a total of £49 comes in per week, the winner recieves £24.50 and the club makes £24.50 a week. Which if it ran from the first sat in Feb until the last Sat of the academic year (not including the easter holidays) then the club would make £318.50.
I realise that some of these ideas would take some organising but would be worth it in the long run

Plus as an addendum to the bonus ball idea, people would be only paying £13 total for the chance to win nearly £25 every week for 13 weeks
